The following FREE learning sessions will be held at the Rapid City Public Library between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. with breaks as needed to accommodate for parking issues and food breaks. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops. Open to the RCSGR members and the general public. Reservations will be required so as to be able to provide hand-outs and ample room. March 14, 2026 - The next steps in DNA research – This is a hands-on class and is more than an entry-level DNA class. You will be learning how to use color-coding to effectively cluster your DNA research and identify your missing ancestor relation.
April 11, 2026 – Software tips – Learn and share tips and tricks of using the various programs and on-line resources such as FamilyTree Maker, FamilySearch and Ancestry Software.
