This cemcetery was started by William A. Mitchell in April 1887 as the final resting place of Eleanor C. Mitchell. Any stone with earlier dates mark the graves of individuals who were previously buried in other places and moved to the Minnesela Cemetery.                                                                          Men who fought with Union Army- Clare, Cushing, Hamilton, Harrier, Spaulding, Young.                      Men who fought with Confederate Army- Cornett.
