Rapid City Society for Genealogical Research has over a period of time extracted information from obituaries published in the Rapid City Journal. The result is a very large data base of information covering a range from 1966 to 2021. Unfortunately, this database is not easily transferred into the format of this website. As a result, we are very busy making this transformation. It is a "work in progress" and will take some time to complete. However, Ancestry.com has information from this index, so if you see an entry there, we still can find the obituary and send you a copy from the newspaper.
